Cheney stated that he sees his job as a trustworthy yet discreet advisor to the Bush administration. Cheney has accepted the Republican Vice-Presidential election in 2007, stated that the he would be looking forward to serving under a president that can work across political lines and work with political rivals with goodwill and a common objective. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941. He was the son of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. When he was 13 years old Richard and his family moved across Nebraska, eventually moving to Casper where his dad was head of Casper's U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservancy district.
