Eve was born in London England the daughter of the actors Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan. Eve has two brothers younger than her: Jack and George and was educated in both the United Kingdom and Los Angeles United States. Her education was at Bedales School then Westminster School London for their A Levels. In the following year, she went to the Beverly Hills Playhouse before studying English at St Catherine's College Oxford. While studying at Oxford and in Oxford, she was an actor in student productions such as An Ideal Husband Animal Crackers and The Colour of Justice. Eve is a regular in BBC television dramas The Rotters Club Poirot, Hawking and Stage Beauty as well as movies like Stage Beauty (2004). Her family is a multiracial background and was born to an Indo-British dad who is of British descent Anthony Mitra, and an Irish-born mother Nora Downey.
